Challenge Coin Nation (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the custom quote and order application served at https://custom.challengecoinnation.com/ (the “Service”). This is where you request a quote on a custom product, review your proof, and place and pay for a custom order. We know that people who use it care about the information they give us and how we treat it, and this policy explains exactly that.

Our main store at https://challengecoinnation.com/ — where we sell stock and retail products — is a separate storefront hosted by Shopify, with its own cart, its own checkout, and its own privacy policy and terms. This policy does not cover that store. It covers only the custom quote, proofing, and ordering pages described here.

Unless otherwise defined here, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms & Conditions.

Information We Collect

If You Only Browse

If you visit the Service but do not request a quote or place an order, we do not collect personal information about you. We do record standard page-request data in our server logs — IP address, browser type and version, referring web address, access times, and which pages were requested — so we can diagnose problems, monitor traffic, and administer the site.

If You Request a Quote

Our quote form asks for the details we need to price your project and build your proof:

  • Name, company, phone number, and email address
  • Country and ZIP/postal code
  • Project name, product type and style, size, quantity, budget, and the date you need it
  • Any notes or special instructions you add
  • Artwork, logos, reference images, and other files you upload
  • A promotional or referral code, if you have one

If You Place an Order

When you look up an approved quote and check out, we additionally collect:

  • Shipping address
  • Billing address, if different from the shipping address
  • Payment card information, handled as described under Payment Information below

To pull up your existing quotes, the order page asks for your email address, phone number, or quote number.

Challenge Coin Nation does not collect demographic information, and we do not ask for information we do not need in order to quote, produce, and deliver your order.

How We Use Your Information

The information you provide is used to:

  • Prepare your quote and produce your digital proof
  • Verify the details of your order
  • Send order confirmations, proofs, and receipts
  • Reply to your questions and provide customer support
  • Manufacture, pay for, and deliver your order
  • Send you marketing email, which you can opt out of at any time

Payment Information

Card details are entered into a secure field hosted by our payment provider and served from their own domain, and they are exchanged for a token before they ever reach our servers. We never see or store your full card number or security code. We keep only that token plus the non-sensitive details used to identify the card on your account, such as the card brand, expiration date, and the first six and last four digits. Charges are processed by our payment processor, Stax.

Artwork and Files You Upload

Files you upload with a quote request are stored so our art team can build your proof, and they are shared with the factory that manufactures your order. We do not sell, license, or publish your artwork. As described in our Terms & Conditions, you are responsible for holding the rights to any logo, trademark, or image you submit.

Service Providers

We use outside companies to operate parts of the Service on our behalf — payment processing, shipping and fulfillment, email and text message delivery, cloud hosting and file storage, and the factories that manufacture custom orders. These providers receive only the information needed to do that work for us, and they are not permitted to retain, share, or use it for any other purpose.

Analytics

On our production site we use Ahrefs Web Analytics to measure aggregate traffic — which pages are visited, how often, and where visitors arrive from. We use it to improve the site, not to build profiles of individual visitors.

Country Detection

When you enter a phone number, your browser contacts https://ipapi.co/ so the field can default to the right country and format. That request sends your IP address to that provider.

Cookies and Local Storage

The Service uses your browser’s local storage to hold a login token, which is what keeps you signed in while you review your quotes and complete an order. Cookies and similar technologies may also be used to operate the site, remember your preferences, and keep your session secure. Most browsers let you refuse or delete these; if you do, parts of the quote and checkout flow will not work.

Disclosure of Your Information

We reserve the right to disclose personally identifiable information as required by law, and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to a judicial proceeding or court order, protect and defend our rights or property, investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service, protect the personal safety of our users or the public, or protect against legal liability.

Transfer of Data

We operate in the United States, and your information — including personal information — is processed and stored there. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please be aware that it will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection law may differ from the law in your own jurisdiction. Submitting your information represents your agreement to that transfer.

Information Retention

Personal information is retained by secure means. Because custom orders are frequently reordered years later from the original artwork and specifications, quote, order, and artwork records are retained indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them.

Your Access and Choices

You can get the status of your order by phone or email. You can request access to your information — less payment card details — or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us using the details below. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making changes.

We will not sell, give, share, or trade your personal information with anyone outside Challenge Coin Nation except as disclosed in this policy. We do not allow other companies to market their products or services to our customers.

Information Security

We are committed to protecting your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure. We use security technology and procedures to that end, information is stored on secured servers with limited access, and payment card data is kept out of our systems entirely by our payment provider. That said, no method of transmission over the Internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Challenge Coin Nation is a general audience site directed at adults, and the Service does not address anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

The Service links to sites we do not operate ourselves, including our Shopify-hosted store at https://challengecoinnation.com/, our blog, and our social media pages. When you follow one of those links you are leaving this site, and we have no control over and take no responsibility for the content or privacy practices of the site you land on. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site you visit.

Any trademark referenced on this site is the property of its owner.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date at the top. If we make material changes, we will give a more prominent notice, which may include notifying you by email. Changes take effect when they are posted here, and we encourage you to review this page periodically.
